FC TEANECK: Tryouts

Tryouts for Fall 2021 Teams

Players attend the one-hour tryout based on the player's birth year:

Wednesday, May 12 at 6:00pm
Players Born in 2013 & 2014

Wednesday, May 19 at 6:00pm
Players Born in 2011 & 2012

Wednesday, May 26 at 6:00pm
Players Born in 2008, 2009 & 2010


All players must pre-register for the tryouts via the link below.
 


Here are a few key notes for the tryout sessions:

  • Players must bring a soccer ball to the tryouts
  • Players must wear soccer shin guards and be ready to play
  • Players should bring their pinnie if they were a REC player in the fall
  • Players must complete the online health screening on the day that they are attending the tryout - the link is on the TeaneckSoccer.com homepage and will be sent via email the afternoon of the session

The Director of Coaching and/or a professional trainer will lead evaluations during tryouts.  The evaluations are the basis, but are not the only criteria, for the selection of players and placement on teams. 

  

FC TEANECK Tryouts Overview

FC TEANECK tryouts are scheduled throughout the year for new teams and teams looking for additional players. 
 

  • April / May:  For players joining teams in Fall
     
  • October:  For players joining teams in Winter & Spring

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

What's the difference between FC TEANECK and REC Soccer?

FC TEANECK is a competitive travel soccer program that plays year-round. Teams train twice a week and games are against teams across North Jersey. Professional coaches are assigned to each team and work with players every week.


When are the sessions? 

Training sessions are held on Monday through Thursday evenings with the younger teams earlier in the evening and older teams later. Games are on Sundays with some "make-up" games on a weeknight.

 

Do current FC TEANECK players attend tryouts?

No, The tryouts are for players not currently on a FC TEANECK roster.
